One trip, three countries, available light.
I'm Bruce Botcher — a traveller first and a photographer second. This series comes from a single three-week trip through Israel, Jordan, and Egypt — the kind of route that turns a map into memory.
I shoot in available light, mostly early and late in the day, and I try to photograph places the way they actually feel to stand in: the hush of the Western Wall at dawn, the scale of Karnak's columns, the unreasonable colour of a balloon sunrise over Luxor.
Everything here was made with a single camera and two lenses, kept deliberately simple so the place could do the talking.
Approach
How I travel
Light over gear, mornings over crowds. One camera, two lenses, and comfortable shoes — that's the whole method.
